The MY-ID Project organised and realised the teacher training event of the project on the 14-17 November 2022 in Rincon de Victoria, near Malaga, Spain. Teachers related to the partner organisations or are members of the school partners. The training was hosted and organised by DEFOIN, a MY-ID Project partner. Teacher participants were from Italy, the Netherlands, and Greece. The training itself was organised by another project partner, GALE.

The teacher training had a duration of 3 days in total. The approach was to start from providing teachers with the knowledge and information needed to better comprehend not only the topic itself, but also the related terminology and concepts. The training then continued with a more practical approach, with the trainer engaging trainees in multiple type of class activities enabling them to understand the learning approach these activities adopt, as well as the practical needs for each activity to be successfully implemented in classroom. The last day was mainly devoted to developing the basis of an approach to introduce the topic in school based on the needs of each country’s local and current societal and educational status.

The participants apart from improving their knowledge and enhancing their skills related to the topic of the project, had the opportunity to collaborate among them, exchange good practices and ideas, and discuss the different situation of their country when it comes to introducing this topic in classrooms.
