During the second day of the EUROMATH SCIENCE ASIA 2023 Conference, the competitions picked up from where they left off on day 1 and more specifically, with elementary school student mathematics and science presentation, followed by the Math and Science factor.
It was the turn of elementary students to get on stage and present the topics that they had chosen. Using their presentations, and at times, different types of props they had devised for the circumstance, to help the audience understand specific concepts or to add to their interest in what was presented. Some more confident than others, while at times a bit shy on stage, they all gave it their best, as all of them wanted to be awarded a first, second or third prize award.

Once the presentations of this age group were completed, and following a short break for lunch, students, the audience, and the jury were back in the stage and their sits, to continue with the mathematics and science factor. For these two competitions the rules are simple, its individual, each student has 3 minutes to present their topic, without using any presentation or notes, but if they chose to, using any type of prop/s.

During both days, there were several workshops organized for students, among them, “Experimenting with simple and smart ways of using AI applications in real life!” by Mr. Thomas Economou, the “Critical Thinking, Research and Creativity from early age” by Prof. Gregory Makrides, and “Real-life STEAME activities” by Mrs. Elpi Margariti.
The day concluded with the Science and Math factor and students could enjoy the student party organized at the main conference hall. As is the case for the European MATHFACTOR and SCIENCEFACTOR conference, this was a time for students from different schools to get together, get to know each other and have fun, and that is exactly what they did.
In the meantime, the organizing committee had their hands full as the results started coming out in preparation of the closing ceremony scheduled for the next day.
