On February 26, 2025, educators from across Europe joined a dynamic 30-minute online workshop titled “AI Enhanced Development of Lesson Plans”, hosted as part of the Learning Bites series by SoFIA – School of the Future International Academy.

The session, led by Guest Trainer Thomas Economou, introduced participants to cutting-edge practices in AI-powered lesson planning, inspired by the STEAME Learning & Creativity (L&C) Plan methodology. The workshop focused on equipping teachers with tools and insights to design more efficient, engaging, and personalized learning experiences.

Key takeaways included:

  • How Artificial Intelligence can support teachers in generating lesson content aligned with curriculum goals

  • Ways to integrate STEAME principles (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics, and Entrepreneurship) into structured learning scenarios

  • Examples of AI-assisted tools that facilitate creative thinking, problem-solving, and adaptive teaching

Participants also explored how AI can serve as a co-designer in the educational process—enhancing, not replacing, the human touch in teaching.

This micro-learning experience was part of a broader movement to help educators prepare for the future of education through interdisciplinary methods and smart technologies. The positive response reaffirmed the growing interest in AI integration within the STEAME framework and the need for ongoing professional development in this evolving field.
