The European STEAME Academies Conference 2026 was held from 12 to 16 March 2026 at the Aliathon Resort in Paphos, Cyprus, bringing together the STEAME Teacher Academy community, the European Federation of STEAME Teacher Facilitators Academies, educators, researchers, trainers, and project stakeholders from across Europe. The event opened with registrations and a rich programme of presentations and workshops, including sessions on STEAME Learning Spaces, STEAME Tech resources, learning environments, AI in mathematics, entrepreneurship competences, VR learning environments, and STEAME Learning & Creativity Plans.

A key highlight of the conference was the official Opening Ceremony of the European STEAME Academies Conference 2026, organised in parallel with the EUROMATH and EUROSCIENCE Conference 2026. The ceremony included a music performance by the Music School of Pafos, welcoming addresses by Prof. Gregoris Makrides and Prof. Tomasz Szemberg, and the official opening by Dr Athina Michaelidou, Minister of Education, Youth and Sport of the Republic of Cyprus. The programme also featured an invited plenary by Prakash Nair on designing learning spaces that support connection, curiosity, and purpose.

Across the conference days, participants engaged in a wide range of hands-on workshops and research presentations addressing STEAME project-based learning, feedback and collaboration, sustainability, generative AI, green and energy issues, makerspace technologies, immersive learning, science through music, inclusive teaching, and creative interdisciplinary approaches. The conference provided an important space for sharing good practices, strengthening cooperation between Teacher Academies, and promoting the continued development of STEAME education and teacher professional development across Europe.
